November is National Novel Writing Month

Full STEAM Ahead: Arizona Birds of Prey

(ages 6 and up / 45 min) Come and meet some amazing birds of prey that are native to Arizona. Presenters from Liberty Wildlife will teach us about the history, habitat, preservation and safety of each animal.

McDowell Sonoran Conservancy Programs

Ultimate Family Play Date & Concert

Celebrate the holiday season at this free family event for all ages! There will be interactive activity zones for kids and teens ages 0-18 from 9 a.m.-noon. Enjoy food vendors and a mimosa garden, and end the day rocking out with a concert by the band Smashed from noon-1:30 p.m. Learn more.

Greater Phoenix Digital Library / Libby

Scottsdale is proud to be a part of the Greater Phoenix Digital Library, also known as Libby, for e-books, e-audiobooks and e-magazines for all ages. Did you know you can limit your search findings to what's available now for easier browsing and immediate borrows? Filters will allow you to change the availability option from all titles to those available now. There is also a dedicated Always Available Collection of e-books and e-audiobooks. Need help?  Learn more through our online tutorials or submit a question through Ask-a-Librarian.

Holiday Closures

All Scottsdale Public Library locations, including Pony Express at Appaloosa Library, will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 11, for the Veterans Day holiday. All locations will also close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, and remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
