March 4 - 30, at Civic Center Library Inspired Imaginations: Women of Consequence An art and poetry installation at Civic Center Library will feature the city's poet laureate Lois Roma Deeley and art by Cherie Buck-Hutchinson. March 1 - 31, at Civic Center Library Why Does Your Story Matter? Throughout history, storytelling has been our conduit for learning and communication. It’s a powerful tool and one that shapes our personal, professional and cultural narratives. For women, whose stories have often been marginalized or erased, defining our own narratives becomes an act of empowerment. In collaboration with Scottsdale's Human Relations Commission, this program will be presented by Gloria Feldt, acclaimed speaker and expert on women's empowerment. 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at Civic Center Library |
