August 2024

Scottsdale Public Library storytimes will be on a break during the month of August to allow for our amazing staff to recharge and prepare for our fall programming. During this break, we encourage you to explore new books, create your own stories and continue nurturing your love for reading. Storytimes will resume the week of Sept. 9. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

Jump, clap and groove along with Grammy Award nominee Papa Hugs during this upbeat and interactive performance.

This juried group exhibition of collage artworks shows the ingenious minds of artists who are sticking unusual elements together to bring a cohesive voice to the viewer. Curated by Airi and Riho Katsuta, the creative force behind Cut+Paste Phoenix, this exhibit is open now through Sept. 23 at the Civic Center Public Gallery. Join us for an opening reception of this exhibit from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at Civic Center Library.

Thank you to all who participated in this year's Summer Reading Challenge! Participants who reached 1,000 points or more can select a free book through Aug. 15. The last day to pick up prizes is Sept. 15. We had a great time this summer and can't wait until next year!
