Calling all teens ages 13-18 - show us your art! In honor of Library Card Sign-Up month, the library is hosting our annual Design a Library Card contest. One design will be chosen as this year's newest library card design. Entries are due by Oct. 19.

Family Education and Support Tools
(ages 3-5 / 45 minutes) This six-week series is designed to focus on children's approach to learning, both socially and academically. Each session uses books, songs and parent/child interactions to help develop one of the most important domains in child development. Registration is required and participants are expected to attend all six sessions.
Learn about autism with Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC). During this educational presentation, autism spectrum disorder will be defined, including a description of challenges, strengths and influences in the community. No registration is required.
 

Local Focus
Bring the whole family to Civic Center Library the first Wednesday of every month to enjoy an evening of acoustic music performed by local musicians. Details of performers can be found on our online calendar.
Discover the secrets to successful vegetable gardening in Arizona with Angela Judd, author and certified Master Gardener. Learn about the intricacies of planning, watering, nurturing and harvesting your garden amidst the unique challenges of Arizona's arid climate.
