Calling all kids ages 5-8 – show us your art! Your artwork could become a Scottsdale Public Library card. One design will be chosen as a limited edition for this year’s newest library card design. Entries are due by Oct. 18.

Storytime at all four library branch locations resume Sept. 8. Support your child's early learning at one or more of our storytimes specially designed for children ages 0-5. Together, we will share books, song and rhymes, and enjoy singing, dancing and having fun all while learning together!

Global Perspectives at Your Library
“Ukrainky” is a lecture series highlighting influential Ukrainian women who shaped the nation’s culture, politics and society. Each session features a different figure, exploring their legacy and impact. Check our online calendar and search “Ukrainky” for exact dates and topics.
 
Democracy, a core American value, originated in ancient Athens. This class explores the development and flaws that led statesmen like Hamilton and Madison to reject it. Presented by Dr. Sara Bolmarcich from Arizona State University.

Yellow Spruce Roasters offers quality coffee, tea and pastries, as well as salads and sandwiches for lunchtime. It’s the perfect grab-and-go option whether you’re catching up on your favorite book, strolling through Old Town Scottsdale or taking advantage of the free programs and services offered at Civic Center Library.

  • Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1-4:30 p.m.
